AJ Murphy of Petal and Chase G. Richard of Hammond, La. were married at 5:30 p.m. May 10, 2008, on the golf course at Canebrake Country Club in Hattiesburg.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Boyd V. Murphy Jr. of Petal. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Herb L. Jarman Sr. and Mr. and Mrs. Boyd V. Murphy Sr. of Houston, Texas.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Augello of Hammond, La. and Mr. and Mrs. Grant P. Richard of Lafayette, La. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Roberts of Hammond, La., Mrs. Elliot K. Wagner of Hammond, La. and the late Elliot K. Wagner, Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Augello Sr. of Hammond, La., Eugene Richard of Labadieville, La. and the late Mrs. Ferdie Richard.
Kristin J. Buxton of Mobile Ala., best friend and cousin of the bride, served as Maid of Honor.
Bridesmaids were Olivia Jarman of Hattiesburg, April Bouvier of Hammond, La., Rachel Wall of Baton Rouge, La., Kollynn Clark of Hattiesburg and Anna Clark of Slidell, La.
Trey M. Richard of Covington, La., twin brother of the groom, served as Best Man. Groomsmen were Shane Murphy of Petal, Brook Bouvier of Hammond, La., Casey Jarman of Petal, Brian Lucido of Hammond, La. and Jay Jallans of New Orleans, La.
Flower girls were Nina Augello of Hammond, La. and Callie Anne Constant of The Woodlands, Texas.
Ring bearers were Geno Augello and Trevor Whittington, both of Hammond, La.
Guest registrant and program attendant was Deirdre David of Hattiesburg.
Music for the ceremony was presented by The Southern Miss String Quartet and included the bride walking to Pachelbel’s Canon in D, escorted down the aisle by her father, Boyd V. Murphy Jr.
The bride wore a gown by Cymbeline of Paris of ivory silk taffeta fashioned with a strapless sweetheart neckline and a corselet bodice encircled with bands of organza ribbons. From the dropped waistline fell the skirt flounced with crystal pleated organza trellising the skirt and hemline. With the gown she wore a boa of rows of pleated English net centered with ruffles of organza and Chantilly lace. She carried a bouquet of pearl wrapped calla lillies and green roses.
The matron of honor and bridesmaids wore Shantung silk strapless two-piece dresses with a draped bodice and knee-length skirt in Olivine.
A reception with 200 guests attending was held at Canebrake Country Club immediately following the ceremony.
The cake, a three-tiered wedding present, was decorated in fondant pearls and script topped with a large fondant bow. It was provided by Tara’s Cakes.
Music at the reception was provided by Trazy Productions.
