United in Matrimony
Contina Sanders of Enterprise became the bride of Kelvin Rogers, Sr. of Laurel at 5 p.m. June 28, 2008, at For The Love of God Church in Laurel.
The bride is the daughter of Clifton Chapman, Sr. of Paulding and the late Earnestine Sanders Chapman.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lott Rogers of Laurel.
Children of the couple are Kadejah Sanders Shaw, Laterious Sanders, Kentavious, Kelsey and Kelvin Rogers Jr.
The Elder Karl Rogers performed the ceremony.
Music was presented by Mary Moore and Daniel McGee.
Given in marriage by her son, Laterious Sanders, the bride chose a turquoise and white gown with a train accented with white flowers and turquoise beads.
Brenda Portis of Hatteisburg and Lucille Keyes of Collins served as maids of honor.
Flowers girls were Moiesha Jones of Quitman, Keyshona Collier and Kelsey Rogers both of Laurel, Deshika Sanders of Meridian, Alyaha Bolton and Bria Bolton both of Hattiesburg, and Zariah Pugh of Collins.
Kadejah Sanders Shaw of Laurel served as miniature bride.
Bridesmaids were Nicole Collier and Tequilla Combest both of Laurel, Chakita Hill, Charlisa Taylor, Amelia Taylor all of Hattiesburg, Antoinette Sanders of Stonewall, Edwina Dukes and Mekisha Clayton both of Meridian and Jennifer Byrd of Collins.
Groomsmen were Johnny Collier, Akeem Davis, Kenny Rogers, Terry Merrill all of Laurel, Steven Jones of Ellisville, James Huff of Hattiesburg, Sean Rogers of Columbus, Ohio and Clifton Chapman Jr. and Kenny Mathis both of Meridian.
Best Men were Delon Sanders of Meridian and Chris Millsap of Columbus, Ohio.
Ushers/ringbearers were Kentavious Rogers and Kelvin Rogers Jr.
A reception was held at Brown’s Place on Queensburg Ave. at 7:30 p.m. Assisting with the reception were Fabia Arrington, Angela McCurtis and Diane Taylor.
