United in Matrimony
Tiffany Lacey Rowell and Daniel Grant Bennett were united in marriage on November 17, 2007, at four o’clock in the evening at The Crawford House and Gardens in Hattiesburg.
The bride is the daughter of Janice Rowell of Laurel and Tommy Rowell of Newport, Tennessee.
The groom is the son of Vickie Loper of Laurel and Reggie Bennett of Madison.
Grandparents of the bride are the late Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Boyd and the late Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Rowell.
Grandparents of the groom are Mr. and Mrs. Billy Ray Jenkins of Laurel and Kathryn Bennett of Sunflower and the late James Grady Bennett.
The outdoor ceremony was officiated by Reverend Dan Watts of Laurel.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Jim Thornhill, who played songs that were special to the couple during the ceremony.
Given by her mother and father, the bride wore an ivory strapless sweetheart neckline gown decorated with elaborate beadwork made by Casablanca. Elaborate vines and flowers were hand-embroidered and beaded to make the semi-cathedral train and dress refined and very elegant. Under her dress, the bride wore blue stilettos to represent her “Something Blue.” The bride carried a bouquet full of red roses, crystal beads and a handkerchief that belonged to her late grandmother. The bouquet also included two small pictures of her late grandmothers in remembrance of them.
Maid of honor was Delta Holloway of Laurel and matron of honor was Jessica Rowland of Laurel.
Bridesmaids were the bride’s cousins, Brianne Boudreaux of Quitman, Beth Boutwell and Chelsea Parish, both of Laurel. The bride’s cousin, Addie Saul of Brandon, served as junior bridesmaid. The bridesmaids wore a Forever Yours gown in lamore satin in claret red and champagne. The dresses were strapless tapered ruched to one side and highlighted with a hand made rhinestone pin.
Serving as the flower girls were cousin of the bride, Kynzie Naquin of Brandon and Kelsey Boutwell of Laurel. The ringbearer was Noah Bennett, nephew of the groom, of Greenwood Springs, Mississippi. The program attendant was Connie Scrimpshire, the bride’s cousin, of Quitman, and the wedding coordinator was Mary Grace Walters of Hattiesburg. Photographs were taken by Bethany Gilbert Photography.
Serving as best man was the groom’s long time friend, Jared Walters of Laurel.
Groomsmen were his brother, Justin Bennett of Mobile, Alabama, his cousin, Kyle Smith of Laurel, Greg Boutwell of Laurel and Casey Tolbert of Laurel. The bride’s cousin, Stephen Williams, served as junior groomsman.
A cocktail hour and reception followed the ceremony at The Crawford House and Gardens. During the cocktail hour, wedding guests were served hors d’oeuvres, such as raspberry and brie tartlets and up side down salmon canape with their choice of wine. Guests enjoyed a Thanksgiving inspired meal with a variety of cheese balls, pumpkin shooters, shrimp and grit bites, and mini roasted turkey sandwiches with cranberry relish.
Jim Thornhill provided entertainment for the cocktail hour playing songs by Aretha Franklin, Frank Sinatra, and the Temptations and played more modern songs during the reception.
