Charlie and Debbie Walker of Myrick and Mike and Chris Gowin of Ulster, Penn. are proud to announce the wedding of their son, Michael Jon Gowin to Alyson Brooke Bartol.

The bride is the daughter of James and Gloria Bartol. She is the granddaughter of Larry and Ann Bartol and Gloria Bechtel of Pottsville, Penn. and the late Edger Bechtel. She is a graduate of Pottsville Area High School, and a graduate of the American University with a bachelor’s degree in communications and a graduate of Marymount University with a Masters of Business Administration. She is employed as a contracts specialist for the Department of The Air Force, MacDill Air Force Base, Fla.

The groom is the grandson of Jon and Alice Norwood of Baneberry, Tenn., Jesse and Barbara Walker of Wyalusing, Penn. and the late Leonard and Ada Gowin. He is a graduate of Northeast Jones High School. He attended Jones County Junior College and the University of Southern Mississippi. He is a graduate of The High Tech Institute of Massage Therapy in Nashville, Tenn. He is employed as a massage therapist in Florida and also coaches gymnastics.

The couple was married Dec. 7, 2007, at the Moon Palace Resort in Cancun, Mexico.

They couple resides in St. Petersburg, Fla.
