Bobcats host ICC tonight

ELLISVILLE – It will be a battle of defending state champions on Thursday night in Bobcat Gym.
The Jones County Junior College men and women's teams both claimed the 2008-09 state titles, while the Itawamba Community College Indian teams both captured the crowns in 2007-08.
The Bobcats and Indians will battle on the court with the women's game scheduled for a 5 p.m. tipoff, followed by the men at 7 p.m.
The Lady Bobcats, 3-1, are led in scoring by Jackson Murrah freshman Tanecka Carey, who is averaging 11.7 points per game, Taylorsville sophomore Ashley Lee, who scores 10 points per game and Jackson Jim Hill sophomore Brigit Taylor, who posts 9.8 points per game.
Lee leads the team in rebounding, pulling down 9.5 boards per game, while Taylor averages 7.2 rebounds per contest.
The JCJC men, 3-1, are led in scoring by Port Gibson freshman Kadeem Fleming, who scores 14.5 points per game and Rayville, La., sophomore Brandon Wilson, who averages 14.2 points per game. Edmond, Okla., freshman Nic Combs and Heidelberg sophomore Kendrick McDonald are both averaging 12 points per game.
Wilson pulls down 8.0 rebounds per game, while Valdosta, Ga., sophomore Tyrone Brinson averages 6.2 boards per contest.
The Itawamba women are 3-3 on the year, while the ICC men are 3-2.
