Published August 01, 2009 11:29 am - Bobcats sign with Blue Mountain From JCJC Sports Information ELLISVILLE – Two Jones County Junior College basketball standouts have signed to play with the Blue Mountain College Toppers.
Renell Collins, a 5-foot-9 guard, and Lakendrick McCullum, a 6-foot-4 forward, inked with the Toppers earlier this week at JCJC. Collins averaged 4.1 points per game and McCullum had 4.9 points and 4.6 rebounds per contest for head coach Don Skelton’s Bobcats in the 2008-09 season. The duo helped JCJC to a 24-5 record, an MACJC state championship and a berth in the Region 23 Tournament. Blue Mountain College is a member of the TransSouth Athletic Conference of the NAIA. It is located in Blue Mountain, Miss., in Tippah County. The Toppers began their basketball program in 2007-08.
