— Little Tornadoes tryouts
Football tryouts for the Laurel Youth Athletic Assoc. Little Tornadoes (ages 7-8), (9-10), (11-12) will be held 10 a.m. to 12 noon July 26 at K.C. Park. Birth certificate is required. For more info, call 601-323-1317 or 615-785-1695.

Ellisville sign-up
The Ellisville Booster Club will be having football registration on Thursday, Jul. 31, 2008 at the concession stand at 6:00 pm. The registration will be for flag, pee wee and youth players. The fee for flag is $45.00 and $65.00 for pee wee and youth. We will be taking birth certificates and doing physicals at this time.

LHS football season tickets
Beginning Monday, July 28 the Administration Office will be open on Monday through Thursdays until 5 p.m. to accommodate those who need to come by and reserve seats for the upcoming football season. For more info call 601-649-6391. After Aug. 29, (first game) any reserved seat not purchased will be sold on a first come first serve basis.

Myrick football registration
Registration for Myrick Youth, Pee-Wee, and Flag football will be held 6 p.m. Thursday, July 24 at the Myrick Community Center. The fee is $70 and includes jerseys for Youth and Pee-Wee, and T-shirts and shorts for Flag. Physicals will be available from 6-7 p.m. for $10 each.

Shady Grove football registration
The Eagles Booster Club will have Pee-Wee Eagles and Youth Football Registration on July 24 and 25th at the Eagle Field from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Please bring registration fee of $65, birth certificate and PROOF OF RESIDENCY/address. For more info, please call Todd Allred at 601-498-0576.

Laurel TD Club to meet Aug. 5
The Laurel High School Touchdown Club will meet 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 5 at LHS. All TD Club members, parents, family members, LHS Alumni and an y interested individuals are asked to be present in order that we may support the MHSAA State Champions. South Jones football tickets now on sale
Season tickets are now on sale through Aug. 1 for South Jones football fans. The tickets are $100 for two tickets and includes one reserved parking spot. Select soccer tryouts to be held in Meridian
The Mississippi Fire – East is conducting Division 1, select soccer tryouts in Meridian, July 21st at 6 p.m. Tryouts will be held at the Jaycee Soccer Complex for U11 and U12 Boys and Girls.
Fire-East teams will form and practice in Meridian competing state and region-wide in games and tournaments. Mississippi Fire – East is part of the Chicago Fire Juniors of Mississippi located out of Madison, MS, which is a developmental soccer club for the Major League Soccer team, Chicago Fire.

Bobcat 5K Run/Walk set for Sept. 6
The second annual Jones County Junior College Alumni Association Bobcat 5K Run/Walk and 1 Mile Fun Run will take place on Sept. 6 at Bobcat Stadium/Sim Cooley Field. Race day registration begins at 7 a.m. and the 5K Run/Walk begins at 8 a.m., immediately followed by the Fun Run.
The event will take place rain or shine. The run will go through the JCJC campus and t-shirts will be given to all participants.
Trophies will be awarded and all children will receive ribbons in the Fun Run. Entry fees are $12 pre-registration for the 5K Run/Walk and $15 on the day of the race. Fun Run entry fee is $10 on the day of the race. Pre-registration deadline is Sept. 1.

Registration for Pee-Wee and Youth football will be Monday, July 21 and Tuesday, July 22, at 6 p.m. at the football field.
