Mount Olive football to host annual golf tournament May 31

MOUNT OLIVE — Head football coach and athletic director Jackie Simpson has announced plans for the annual Mount Olive Pirate Golf Tournament.

The three-man select will be held on Saturday, May 31, beginning with a first tee at 1 p.m. The day will begin with a delicious lunch followed by a fun afternoon of golf. Okatoma Golf Club in Collins will be the host course for the event.

West Jones Lady Mustangs Basketball Camp

The West Jones Lady Mustangs Basketball Camp will be held June 24, 25 & 26 for girls grades 3rd - 8th. The cost is $40 if you pre-register before June 13, afterwards the cost is $45. Contact Coach Steve Gieger at 601-763-4255 for more information.

Fedora to speak

Southern Miss Alumni Association Laurel Metro Chapter Spring Dinner will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, May 22, at Jones County Junior College Advanced Technology Center. Larry Fedora, head football coach will be the special guest. Cost will be $15 per person $25 per couple. An auction will be held and door prizes awarded. All proceeds will benefit Southern Miss scholarships. Northeast Jones Summer Shootouts

U.S. Army-Northeast Jones Girls and Boys Summer Basketball Shootouts. Girls Summer Shootout will be on Thursday, May 29 at Northeast Jones High School and the start time is 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Boys Summer Shootout will be on Friday, May 30 and Saturday, May 31 at Northeast Jones HS and the start time is 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Admission is $5. There will 12 different boys and girls teams including NE Jones from Jones and surrounding counties participating in both shootouts.
