Emily Kate Anglin
Emily Kate Anglin, 19, of Meridian, died Friday, June 23, 2006, in Lowndes County, near Columbus.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today, at First-Trinity Presbyterian Church in Laurel, with burial in Lake Park Hills Cemetery. The Revs. Jim Truesdell and Jim Porter will officiate.
She was a sophomore at Mississippi State University, where she was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority. She attended St. John’s Day School in Laurel and was a graduate of Lamar School in Meridian. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Meridian and a former member of First-Trinity Presbyterian Church in Laurel and attended Christ United Methodist Church in Jackson.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Guy Layton.
She is survived by her parents, Paul and Lisa Barrett of Meridian and Dent and Pam Anglin of Jackson; a brother, Matt Barrett of Hot Springs, Ark.; three sisters, Karley Williams and Adriane Anglin, both of Jackson, and Renee Ringgold of Hot Springs; a nephew, Hayden Ringgold of Hot Springs; maternal grandmother, Dot Layton of Laurel; paternal grandparents, Linda and Joe Anglin of Jackson; and a host of other relatives.
Memorials may be made to St. John’s Day School in Laurel or to Lamar School in Meridian.
Visitation will begin at noon today, at First-Trinity Presbyterian Church in Laurel.
Memory Chapel Funeral Home in Laurel is in charge of arrangements.
