Northeast Jones High School and Middle School students gathered in prayer at the flag pole before classes Wednesday morning for the annual, See You at the Pole event. Although a student initiated and led event, more than 100 faculty and students alike came together to pray for their school, friends, teachers, government and nation. See You at the Pole began in 1990, when a small group of teenagers in Burleson, Texas met to pray and ignited what has become an international movement of prayer among young people. At Northeast students may participate in a number of Christian-based organizations including First Priority, Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Take a Stand.
