Laurel High School Business and Computer Technology Department recently hosted their end-of-the year banquet at JCJC April 22. BCT scholars were recognized for their hard work during this school year. BCT scholars also recogonized the 2008 advisory committee for their service and contuining support through the school year. The 2008 Advisory committee members are: Willie Evans,City Councilwoman of Laurel; Teresa Robertson, JCJC BOT Instructor; Dr. Samuel Jones, Dean of Student Affairs at JCJC; Jennifer McDonald, Asst. Accounting Mgr. with DunnRoad Builders; Dr. Cheryl Dale, Dean of College of Business at William Carey University, and Dr. Stephen Bushardt, Professor at the University of Southern Mississipi. Devon Sellers, BCT teacher, and BCT scholars also recognized Freddie and Donna Malone owners of Malone Painting for adopting them this school year and to Dr. Stephen Bushardt for his service to the advisory committee and to congratulate him on his 29 years of teaching business courses as he retires from Southern Mississippi in June and furthers his teaching career at Spring Hill College in Mobile, Ala., as a Professor of Business. Dr. Samuel Jones, Dean of Student Affairs at JCJC, gave the scholars some inspirational words of wisdom reminding scholars that they are always writing their resume and should always do their best in life.
