JCJC’s Madrigals and More Concert at Laurel’s First Presbyterian Church

ELLISVILLE – The Jones County Junior College Fine Arts department will be performing in a special concert, co-sponsored by the First-Trinity Presbyterian Church of Laurel, on Tuesday, Oct. 20 at 7 p.m.
The Madrigals and More concert will be held at the Laurel church and is a part of their 2009-2010 concert series. This concert will feature music primarily from the Renaissance and Baroque periods and will highlight the work of many chamber groups and soloists from Jones County Junior College. The concert is open to the public and free of charge.
The Madrigals and More concert will feature the JC Madrigal Singers, Bobcat Brass, the Jones Brass Quintet, the Marimba Ensemble, Guitar Ensemble, and Clarinet Quartet. These student groups will be joined by faculty performers and conductors, Dr. Susan Smith, Dr. Theresa Sanchez, Dr. Carrie Strickland, Mrs. Kay Guiles, Mr. Jeff Brown, Dr. Michael Boyd, and Mrs. Meri Newell.
