Jones County Sheriff’s Office reported 102 calls for service; one accident; 11 traffic citations; 47 business/residential security checks

The following arrests were made:

• John McCool, WM, 03/25/60, disturbing the peace

• Willie Williams, BM, 10/16/68, suspended driver’s license, no insurance, improper license tag

The Laurel Police Department reported 485 calls for service and two accidents. The following arrests were made:

• Darnell Harvey, M, 05/08/64, disorderly conduct, simple assault

• Michael Thigpen, BM, simple domestic assault, 1st offense

• Jasmine Keearil Windham, BF, 02/06/88, larceny, shoplifting, 1st offense

• Sherrod Keys, BM, 11/21/69, deadly weapons, carrying while concealed, use or attempt to use, failure to appear

• Chester Russell, BM, 09/27/65, simple domestic assault - 1st offense

• Alonzo Cameron, BM, 08/05/80, controlled substance; possession of marijuana in vehicle

• Arthur Grady Byrd, WM, 11/08/56, controlled substance, possession of paraphernalia, DUI, 1st offense

• Clifton Verret, WM, 08/17/60, profanity or drunkenness in public place
