For Cindy Robinson there was never a question of what occupation to have. She knew that education was the perfect field for her because of her love for children, and with that understanding she set out on her own educational path to obtain her degrees. Robinson has never looked back.
“Teaching is what I love to do,” she said. “I have never doubted if teaching was what I was meant to do.”
A strong desire to provide encouragement, enrichment and support for her students and watching her kindergarten students grow in knowledge is the reason she walks into the classroom every day.
“Mrs. Robinson has outstanding ability to establish good rapport with children, and they love her,” said Mason Elementary School Principal David Jones. “She is able to work with parents on a professional level, and parents are appreciative of her loving and caring spirit.”
Jones also said Robinson is a “team player who goes over and beyond what is expected of her.”
When Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction Dr. Maggie Griffin began developing a committee of highly experienced teachers to revamp the kindergarten curriculum for the Laurel School District, Robinson was as an easy choice. Griffin said that Robinson, along with other kindergarten teachers, was very helpful in revamping the kindergarten report card as well as developing a kindergarten resource manual.
