Joseph B. Baugh graduated from Capella University on March 1 with a doctorate degree in organization and management with a specialization in leadership.
His dissertation study examined the impacts of deregulation on management strategies, organizational structure and culture through a qualitative case study of a nonprofit Georgia electrical cooperative.
Baugh was a 1971 graduate of South Jones High School and earned an undergraduate degree in computer science from the University of Arizona.
He attended the Eller College of Management at the University of Arizona, earning a Master of Business Administration degree before beginning his doctoral studies.
Baugh lives in Benson, Ariz. and has worked at Arizona Electric Power Cooperative for 26 years in a variety of roles.
He is currently the Power Trading Services manager and oversees electrical and natural gas scheduling and trading activities across the Desert Southwest.
Baugh has been an adjunct faculty member at Cochise College and the University of Arizona since 1996 teaching information technology and business management courses.
He is also president and CEO of Baugh Group LTD providing information security consulting services, project management, and technical training for organizations nationwide.
He is the son of Dorothy Gaye Baugh of Ellisville and the late T.J. Baugh. He has three children, a daughter, Sara and her husband Kyle Harris of Tampa, Fla., two sons, William and his wife Carla Baugh of Raleigh, N.C., and Joseph Jr. and his Heather Baugh of Sacramento, Calif.
