Jessie J. Jones

Jessie J. Jones, 88, of Moselle, died Sunday, March 30, 2008, at her residence.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 1, 2008, at Jones & Son Funeral Home in Moselle, with burial in Memory Gardens Cemetery. The Revs. David Aultman and Tommy Mangum will officiate.

A nurses’ aide, she was a member of Eastabuchie Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Jones; son, Jesse “Butch” Jones; infant daughter, Janet Jones; and parents, Wiley Thomas Jones and Ida Isabella Roberts Jones.

She is survived by two daughters, Lolette Finch of Monticello and Peggy Epley of Moselle; three sons, John “Tom” Jones of Lumberton, Jerome “Jay” Jones and Lanny Jones both of Moselle; 19 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and 23 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. today at Jones & Son Funeral Home in Moselle, which is in charge of arrangements.

Tammy R. Smith

Tammy R. Smith, 43, of Ellisville, died Sunday, March 30, 2008, at her residence.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 1, 2008, at Jones Funeral Home in Ellisville, with burial in Shelton Cemetery. The Revs. David Allen and Tim Knight will officiate.

She was a retail salesperson with Steinmart and was a member of West Ellisville Baptist Church. She loved her birds, Tipper, Julie and Bo Diddley.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Rev. Arb and Inez Knight; paternal grandparents, Howard and Dovie Smith.

She is survived by her parents, Tommy and Linda Smith of Ellisville; a sister, Teresa L. Smith of Ocean Springs.

The family request memorials be made to West Ellisville Baptist Church Building Fund.
