Mattie Lucille Lawless
Mattie Lucille Lawless, 92, of Laurel, died Saturday, March 22, 2008, at the home of her daughter and son-in-law Sherrill and Perry Sumrall in Ellisville.
Services will be 2 p.m. Monday, March 24 at Memory Chapel Funeral Home with burial to follow in Hickory Grove Cemetery. Rev. Dee Smith and Mr. Willard Rose will officiate.
She was a homemaker and a longtime member of West Laurel United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, James Fred Lawless in 2007; daughter, Betty L. Rose; infant daughter, Lindy Lawless; brother, Johnny Dennis and parents, W.W. and Winnie Dennis.
She is survived by three sons, Willie F. Lawless and his wife, Nancy, of Gautier; Jim Rose of Laurel and Russell Rose of Orlando, Fla.; two daughters, Sherrill Sumrall and her husband, Perry, of Ellisville, and Teresa Gunnell of Ellisville; sister, Ruth Ware of Mesa, Ariz.; grandchildren, Caleb Rose, Casey Rose, Allen Rose and his wife Amber Rose, Chris Gunnell, Candace Gunnell, Jacob Sumrall and his wife Brittney Sumrall, Jessica Long and her husband Chris Long, and Linda Lawless; one great-granddaughter and one great-grandson.
Pallbearers will be Casey Rose, Caleb Rose, Allen Rose, Chris Gunnell, Jamie Foster and Howard Robertson. Honorary pallbearers will be West Laurel United Methodist Men’s Breakfast Prayer Club.
Visitation will be 12:30 p.m. until service time Monday at Memory Chapel Funeral Home, which is in charge of services.

Margaret Williams, 83, of Laurel, died Saturday, March 22, 2008. Arrangements are incomplete with Memory Chapel Funeral Home in charge.
