Ollie M. “Mimi” Thompson

Ollie M. “Mimi” Thompson, 89, of Laurel, died Wednesday, March 19, 2008, at Jones County Rest Home in Ellisville.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. this afternoon at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Laurel with burial in Sunset Gardens Cemetery. The Rev. Robert Scruggs will officiate.

Mrs. Thompson was a homemaker and a member of the Catholic church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Eddie and Alma Ducote; husband, Harold Thompson; and grandson, Jeffrey Lee.

Survivors include her daughters, Lola Lee of Laurel and Debbie Rogers and her husband Tom of Laurel; grandchildren, Timothy Lee and his wife Darlene and Carmen Bratu; and great-grandchildren, Megan Lee, Matthew Lee, Jessica Lee, Alexis Plankers, and Drake Plankers.

Visitation will be from 1 until 2 p.m. this afternoon at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Laurel, which is in charge of the arrangements.

Terry Waltman, 58, of Richmond, died Thursday, March 20, 2008, at McGuire V. A. Hospital in Richmond, Va.
