West Jones (9-0, 6-0) is coming off a 21-20 overtime thriller against Picayune. PRC (0-10, 0-6) lost 38-0 loss at the hands of Wayne County.

Mustang head coach Scott Pierson is proud of the way his team has fought through this tough region. "This is a very competitive league," he said. "From top to bottom, it’s one of the toughest around."

Pierson knows in this region, opponents can never be underestimated. "As a team we can never underestimate a team in this league," he said. "Friday will be a chance for those seniors who may have not been able to play as much as they would have liked to be able to get that shot."

Pierson believes the Mustangs will be focused for the game. "I believe our guys will be focused and ready to play," he said. “They have had a good week of practice."

Pierson believes the success to this season was due to senior leadership. "We could have very easily been 7-3," he said. "We have tremendous senior leadership, and it’s because of them we are at this point in the season."
