West Alabama head track coach Don Medeiros feels extremely fortunate to have signed South Jones senior Amy Benoit.

“She is an excellent athlete, who is, in all honesty, a Division I caliber runner. I am confident she will be very successful when we complete against much larger schools and I look to her for leadership as well as strong running when our season begins.”

Coach Medeiros added, “We are making a concerted effort to take our program to a much higher level and feel that with her experience and talent, Amy can help the other girls on the team learn the type of work ethic that is necessary to be successful at collegiate running.”
