Just before noon Sunday, District 5 fire departments were dispatched to a brush fire at 790 Tower Road in the Union Community where the resident reported that their small barn and tractor were catching fire. Union, Moselle, Ovett and Johnson Volunteer Fire Departments responded and reported the barn and tractor already destroyed upon arrival. Approximately 2-3 acres of land were also burned. The cause of the fire is from an unattended campfire from the previous evening.
