Voters in a portion of the East Jasper School District will go to the polls Tuesday to elect a person to serve in the 4-East position on the school board.

Jasper County Circuit Clerk Billy G. Rayner said the two candidates in the election are Incumbent Bobbie “Molly” Whitfield and challenger Cheryl Gavin.

Rayner said five precincts in the East Jasper School District will be involved in the elections. Polls will open at 7 a.m. Tuesday and close at 7 p.m.
