Tuesday night: An 80 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 63. East wind around 5 mph becoming southwest. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
There is a slight risk of strong to severe thunderstorms in the Laurel area today and tonight. Most of the risk is west of I-55 today, but storms will spread eastward after about 7 p.m. Tuesday evening. Isolated storms will have winds gusting up to 50 mph and hail. There will also be a chance of heavy rainfall.
