Jones County fire departments trained at the Jones County Junior College Advanced Technology Center in Howard Technology in Ellisville at an Emergency Vehicle Operating Course . All departments are participating in the driver certification course over the course of several weeks. The last course will be held August 22-23. The course includes slideshows, video and hands-on driving. Volunteers have to pass the course in order to drive and operate emergency vehicles in Jones County.
