New crime-fighting tool donated to Sheriff’s Office

By Eloria Newell James, community@laurelleadercall.com

“This will enhance our ability to fight drugs and crime in Jones County,” the sheriff said. “It’s a great time for Jones County. We are grateful to have a better tool to open mobile home doors because they open out when other doors normally open inward.”

The motto inscribed on the breacher tool is “nothing shall stand in your way.”

Hodge said he anticipates the tool’s motto will hold true for the narcotics officers in the Jones County Sheriff’s Department.
