Traffic stop lands Louisiana man behind bars

From Jones Co. Sheriff’s Dept.

A Louisiana man is behind bars today after being arrested by Jones County Deputies over the weekend for possession of drugs.

Sheriff Alex Hodge identified the suspect as, Phillip Larwood, 26, of Alexandria, La.

“Larwood was traveling on Interstate 59 when he was stopped by deputies for a DUI (Driving Under the Influence) traffic violation,” Hodge said. “After further investigation, deputies discovered that Larwood was in possession of an undisclosed amount of crystal ice, a manufactured form of methamphetamine.”

Larwood was arrested without incident and charged with possession of Crystal Ice. He remained in the Jones County Adult Detention Center Monday until his initial bond hearing.
