Jones County deputies arrested the most recent “Most Wanted” who appeared in the Sunday edition of the Laurel Leader Call.
Jones County Sheriff Alex Hodge said Josh Maxey and Corey “Pork Chop” Houston were both taken into custody by deputies.
Maxey was arrested following on Sunday around at 4 p.m. in the 400 block of Magnolia Road following a call from someone in the community. He was charged with grand larceny and booked into the Jones County Adult Detention Center.
Hodge said Houston turned himself into the sheriff’s department on Monday. He is charged with malicious mischief, and was booked into the jail.
Deputies charged an Ellisville man with residential burglary Wednesday. Jones County Sheriff Alex Hodge identified the man as Leon Trevino, 26, of the 2000 block of Highway 29 North.
Hodge said Trevino is charged with breaking into a residence on Orange Drive. He said an eyewitness identified the suspect’s car and called the sheriff’s office. Deputies arrested Trevino on Highway 11.
“This arrest is one of many that came as a result of information received from concerned citizens of Jones County,” Hodge said. “I encourage the citizens to call the Sheriff's Department at 601-425-3147 or Jones County Crimestoppers at 601-428-7867 to report criminal activity and together we will continue our efforts to combat crime throughout Jones County.”
