The water supply service for Industrial Blvd. and the Pendorf area will be interrupted Sunday, June 28th, at approximately 4 p.m., according to a press release from United Water Service. This interruption should not last more than two hours.
According to the press release, this service interruption will allow the City of Laurel Water Department to make needed repairs to the water system servicing this area. After repairs are completed the main water lines will be flushed to remove any non treated water that may have entered into the system. A boil water notice is issued immediately following the return of water pressure. This boil water notice cannot be lifted (removed) for 48 hours (2 days).
The City of Laurel and United Water recommends, as an added precaution, that all businesses flush their service line by opening an outside hose bib or indoor faucet and let the water run until it runs clear. This is especially true for hot water. Allow the hot water to run into your sink until it is completely clear. Check this several times.
