NEW - Ellisville issues precautionary boil water alert

Around 7 p.m. on Tuesday, June 23, a construction crew bored into an 8-inch water main at the intersection of Short Street and Royal Street in Ellisville. City employees worked during the night to make all repairs to the water main.

The following streets are affected South of Hill Street: Main Street, Mill Street, South Watson Street, Camp Street, Blank Street, Beulah Street, North side of Herrington and Short Streets, Royal Street, West side of South Deason Street. Also any other areas that are adjacent to the streets listed above that may have experienced loss of water or low water pressure Tuesday night.

The City of Ellisville Water Works is issuing a self-imposed precautionary boil water alert for customers in these areas until further notice. Water should be boiled for one minute before it is consumed.
