JACKSON (AP) — A Canadian National freight train has collided with a fully loaded log truck in Perry County, but the Mississippi Department of Transportation did not report any injuries.
The collision occurred about 11:45 a.m. Thursday, according to an MDOT news release.
MDOT officials say logs were spilled across Mississippi Highway 198 in Beaumont and a rail-crossing signal mast was damaged. The highway was closed until the scene could be cleared.
