Heidelberg mourns death of Asst. Chief of Police Foul play not suspected in death of Cedric Thomas By Eloria Newell James, community@laurelleadercall.comMessages by the Laurel Leader-Call for comment from Heidelberg Chief of Police Prentiss Harrell were not returned.
Thomas is survived by his wife, son, parents and number of other relatives and friends. A complete obituary is printed on Page A2 of today’s publication. Visitation will be from 6- 8 p.m. Friday at Heidelberg High School in Heidelberg. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Heidelberg High School, with burial in Shady Grove Church Cemetery in Heidelberg. Young’s Funeral Home in Taylorsville is in charge of arrangements.
