Laurel man suffers gunshot wound

A Laurel man shot Tuesday night by pellets from a shotgun was treated for non-life threatening injuries at South Central Regional Medical Center. Sheriff Alex Hodge identified the man as David Earl Hatten, 19, of West 18th St., Laurel.
Hodge said deputies have questioned a suspect, but no charges have been filed.
According to the report, deputies responded to a shooting incident Tuesday at 10 p.m. at Lone Oaks Apartments in the Hoy Community, where Hatten had been shot twice by a shotgun loaded with pellets. He was taken to the hospital in a private vehicle.
No other details were available.
