WHLT goes all digital
To the Leader-Call
WHLT / CBS 22 will stop broadcasting the station’s analog signal and begin broadcasting only the digital signal early Thursday morning.
Programming like the Price is Right, The Young and Restless, CSI, Two and a Half Men, the Mentalist, the CBS Evening News with Katie Curic and Late Night with David Letterman will all be available in the digital format and in Hi Definition within two weeks.
If you currently have a converter box you will need to rescan the box to allow for reception of WHLT. If you are receiving our digital signal over the air, WHLT will remain channel 22.1 for all antenna viewers.
If you are a cable subscriber you will find WHLT / CBS 22 on Comcast channel 10 and our digital signal on Comcast channel 433. Our digital signal will also be available on Branch, Charter, Collins, Galaxy and Video Inc. cable systems in the coming weeks.
“This is the single biggest event for WHLT since we started broadcasting 22 years ago. There will be immediate improvement recognized by our viewers and the communities we serve. In the coming weeks WHLT’s digital signal will extend our reach well beyond our current signal strength. This will be a huge benefit to advertisers wanting to reach more viewers with their advertising budgets.” said Station Manager Wally Babbidge.
WHLT will continue to bring Southern Mississippi local news and weather along with state and regional news from our sister station WJTV in Jackson.
If you have any questions or need help during this conversion period, feel free to call 601-545-2077 between 8:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. and someone will be here to help you.
