A Jasper County man remains behind bars after being charged by Jones County investigators for burglaries that allegedly took place in Jones County in late March.
“Alvin Sims, 33 currently of Heidelberg, was officially charged by Jones County Investigators on Thursday for two counts of residential burglary,” Sheriff Alex Hodge said.
“Sims, formerly of New Orleans, is believed to be responsible for stealing a large amount of power tools and lawn equipment valued at several thousand dollars from residents on Sharon and Glade Paulding Roads.”
The suspect is currently in custody with the Clarke County Sheriff’s Department, but is awaiting extradition to Jones County where he will face charges of burglary.
