Early registration for the Laurel School District’s 5-year old kindergarten classes will be from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. March 24 and from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. April 21.

Regular registration will be from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. April 22 through April 25 at each elementary school: Mason, Nora Davis, Oak Park or Stainton.

Parents are asked to take the children to the registration.

The child must be five years old on or before Sept. 1, 2008, to be eligible for kindergarten in 2008-2009.

Parents or guardians must take the following to pre-registration: a certified copy of the child’s birth certificate, child’s social security card, the child’s health Compliance Form 121 and two current proofs of residence: one document showing ownership or rental of home, and choose from driver’s license, utility bill or other.

Additional information needed when pre-registering includes two emergency phone numbers, alternative transporation authorized, and how parents or guardians plan to get the child to and from school.
