Suspected gunman arrested in drive-by shooting; 3 charged

— A third person wanted by the Jones County Sheriff’s Department in connection with a Saturday drive-by shooting was arrested Monday.
The alleged incident took place on McMillan Road in the Sharon community.
Sheriff Alex Hodge said Andre Turner, 31, of the 51 block of Larry Tucker Road, was arrested and charged with drive-by shooting.
Jones County deputies charged the third suspect in the drive by shooting incident that took place on McMillan Road in the Sharon Community on Saturday.
“It is believed that Turner was the gunman in Saturday’s shooting that allegedly stemmed from a verbal argument,” Sheriff Alex Hodge said. “No one was injured in the incident.”
Deputies had previously arrested Emanuel Hardy, 25, of 33 Brown Circle and Antrell Turner, 24, of Taylorsville, Saturday following the incident.
According to Hodge, “the incident allegedly occured over a verbal argument earlier (Saturday).”
Each of the three suspects were scheduled to appear in Jones County Justice Court Tuesday morning.
