A letter to the editor appears on this page from Mr. Harvey Warren, a regular thought provoking contributor for many years to our Opinion page.
In his letter, and in a previous letter that appeared in another publication, Mr. Warren points out that Ward 6 Councilman Johnny Magee was omitted in an advertisement from the City of Laurel that appeared in the Saturday, March 15, 2008, edition of the Laurel Leader-Call.
The omission was an error on the part of the LL-C advertising department and not a deliberate attempt by the city administration to ostracize Mr. Magee as Mr. Warren insinuates.
The advertisement was corrected and ran again — with Ward 6 representation — on March 22. It was a simple error on the part of the LL-C advertising department and we apologize any confusion it may have caused.
