News Editor Jason Niblett has lived in Laurel since 2001. Originally a Leader-Call reporter, Jason has returned to the Leader-Call as the news editor. Originally from Brandon, Jason has had a heart for the news business for many years. He majored in journalism at Hinds Community College, the University of Mississippi, and in English at the University of Southern Mississippi. After a time in television news, he switched to newspapers. In his free time, Jason enjoys reading, traveling, spending time with friends, working in his yard, and, during the fall, Ole Miss and Southern Miss football.
