Fairview Baptist Church will mark 100 years of service to God and the Ruston community on Oct. 17. Friends, former members and former pastors are invited to join the congregation for a day of praise and celebration.

The day will begin at 11 a.m. with a worship service, in which the history of the church will be given, followed by former pastor, Gerald Givens, bringing the morning message.

There will be a covered dish luncheon at noon. The afternoon service will begin at 1 p.m. with an opening congregational song and former pastor, Howard Rogers, bringing the afternoon message.

Following the message, music will be presented by Rev. Harold Floyd and the Mississippi five, from Laurel.

Former pastors will be given an opportunity to speak after the singing.
