We need a plan
By Tracy Traylor, columnist
Life was different before my wreck when I was in control and could plan my day like I wanted, but life is very different when your day plans you! Yet, I’m so thankful that I can get out.
When I’m at home, I might just sit there, but I try not to let my “sitting time” go to waste; I do something constructive! In the midst of a boring moment, I often think, “I need a plan!” Don’t we all feel like that at times?
Our plan that we are following isn’t doing anything for us. We need a plan that works! God has already given us a plan, and we don’t have to come up with our own.
We may be in a terrible situation where we feel trapped. Instead of thinking that we have to have a plan, we can realize that God has already given us one clearly stated in His word.
God tells us to put Him first. We have to stop trying to be in control and let Him direct our days. This plan calls for a trusting and thankful heart.
We can plan our path, but we have to let God direct our steps.
When we have decided to follow God’s plan and are finally with Him in heaven, we will be so glad that we followed His plan. After all, we will see that our plan was an accident waiting to happen!
