Republican women to meet
The Jones County Republican Women will meet at noon May 14 at the Laurel Hotel and Convention Center. Speakers will be Sen. Chris McDaniel and Rep. Gary Staples, reporting on the 2008 legislative session. JCRW will present annual scholarships. Take a food or cash donation for the Christian Food Mission. Enrichment program
The Cameron Center will be offering a Summer Enrichment Program beginning June 2 - July 25 for children ages 5 - 12. Registration will be held from May 19 - 23. For more information call the Cameron Center at 601-428-6449 or 601-344-9089.
St. John’s Family Fun Day
St. John’s Day School will host a family fun night from 5:30-7:30 p.m. May 13. Pizza and drinks will be provided for students; corn dogs and pizza will be available for purchase by others. Blow up toys will be in place and the May Day Silent Auction will be open from 5:30 - 7 p.m. All students should wear armbands for outside fun.
Shoemake reunion
Robert and Annie Shoemake family reunion will be held from 10 a.m. until on Sunday, May 25 at the Runnelstown Community Center, Hwy. 42, in Runnelstown. For more information, call Sandra at 251-649-1486.
Caregiver’s workshop
ComfortCare Home Health and Hospice, a division of South Central Regional Medical Center, will host a Caregiver’s Workshop on May 21 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at South Central Place. There is no registration required and the public is invited to attend.
