Caregiver’s workshop

ComfortCare Home Health and Hospice, a division of South Central Regional Medical Center, will host a Caregiver’s Workshop on May 21 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at South Central Place. There is no registration required and the public is invited to attend.

Frozen food sale

Immaculate Conception School in Laurel will have their spring frozen food sale from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. May 9 in the Parish Hall. Join us for a soup lunch that day also. There will be homemade casseroles, soups, gumbo, breads, desserts and much more. Proceeds go to support ICS.

Shady Grove celebration

The Shady Grove PTO would like to invite you to attend a celebration of the Shady Grove School. This will be the last year the school is open and we want to have a time of fun and fellowship as we recall the “good ole days” and see a glimpse of the future. So join us from 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. May 9. A special recognition service will start at 6 p.m. in the school auditorium. There will also be food and fun for the kids. If you have old Shady Grove memorabilia, bring it to share with us. Long family reunion

Descendants of the Rev. William Preston Long and Adeline Melinda Harris Long will meet at 9:30 a.m. Sunday, May 18, for their 90th annual reunion.
