Relay pageant
The 2nd Annual “Crowns For A Cure” Relay For Life Fundraiser Beauty Pageant will be held on Feb. 7, 2009 at Life Church Auditorium in Laurel. The entry fee will be $35. For more information or entry forms call Brooklynn Hill at (601) 426-2574 or (601) 433-4311.
Juneteenth pageant
Ray-E-Foundation is currently accepting applications for the 11th annual Miss Juneteenth Pageant for young ladies between the ages of 13 through 20. For more information, please call Stephanie, pageant director at 601-434-2704. Application deadline is February 15.
Pageants
Miss Jones County Pageant, Miss Dixieland and Miss Deep South Pageant will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 17, in the Fine Arts Auditorium at Jones County Junior College. The cost is $10. Watkins supper club
The RH Watkins Class of 65 Supper Club will meet on Saturday, February 7, 2009 at 6:30 p.m. The location will be Charlie's Catfish on Ellisville Blvd. All classmates, spouses, and guests are invited. Farmer’s market
Jones County Extension Service will host a meeting for all vegetable producers who are interested in participating in a Farmer’s Market program in Laurel. The meeting will be held at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 20, at the Jones County Extension Office. The Farmer’s Market in Laurel will be a cooperative effort by the USDA, MSU-Extension Service and the Laurel Express.
