— Wayne and Elizabeth Stevens of Laurel announce the engagement of their daughter, Leslie Denise, to Caleb Lawrence Davis of Waynesboro, son of Kimberly McCarty Davis of Hattiesburg and Paul Keith Davis of Orange Beach, Ala.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Lois Stevens of Waynesboro and the late D. L. Stevens, the late Frances and Pete Lee. She is a graduate of Northeast Jones High School. She received a B.S. in Business Marketing from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2006. She was a member of Kappa Delta Sorority, Southern Style Orientation team and various campus activities and organizations. She is a personal assistant.
The future groom is the grandson of Helen and Melton ‘Mac’ McCarty of Columbus, Paula Davis of Marion and the late Clifton ‘Buddy’ Davis. He is a graduate of Wayne County High School. He was on the golf team at Meridian Community College. He graduated from Meridian Community College and then graduated in 2007 from the University of Southern Mississippi with a degree in business marketing. He is a sales manager and event coordinator for WhiteDove Ministries.
Wedding vows will be exchanged in a private ceremony at 3 p.m. Jan. 3, 2009, at First Presbyterian Church in Gulf Shores, Ala.
