— Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Valentine Griff of Bartlett, Ill. are pleased to announce the marriage of their daughter, Lauren Marie Griff, to Lyle Elliot Strickland, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Curtis Strickland of Laurel.
The bride – elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Thomas Charles Cihlar of Bartlett and the late Mr. Cihlar; and Mrs. Lawrence Edward Griff of Chicago, Ill. and the late Mr. Griff. She is a 2004 graduate of The University of Mississippi where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in exercise science. While at Ole Miss, she was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. She is currently a sales consultant for Applied Systems, Inc.
The future groom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Howard Ratcliff and the late Mr. and Mrs. George Curtis Strickland. He is a 2002 graduate of The University of Mississippi where he received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in marketing. He is currently an owner of Sunbelt Fans and Lighting, LLC in Flowood.
Wedding vows will be exchanged at 7 p.m. on June 14, 2008 at The Colonel’s Quarters in Oxford.
