Mr. and Mrs. James V. Donald of the Hebron community announce the engagement of their daughter, Mallory Hope, to Matthew Neil Hopkins, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jeffery N. Hopkins of Laurel.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Barbara Donald of Laurel and the late James Donald and the late Mr. and Mrs. Glaze Anderson. She graduated with highest honors from West Jones High School in 2004 and from Jones County Junior College in 2006. While at JCJC she was a member of Phi Theta Kappa, the Bobcat Brigade, and Beta Alpha Gamma Business Honors Society. She will graduate from the University of Southern Mississippi in May with a bachelor’s degree in accountancy. While at USM she has been a member of Delta Sigma Pi Business Fraternity. She plans to further her education by seeking a master’s degree from William Carey College in the fall.
The future groom is the grandson of Sarah Hopkins of Laurel and the late J. P. Hopkins and Mr. and Mrs. Dewitt Shoemaker of Laurel. He graduated with highest honors from West Jones High School in 2001. He attended Jones County Junior College where he was a member of Phi Theta Kappa and the Bobcat Baseball Team. He continued his education at Mississippi College in Clinton where he also played baseball. He graduated in 2006 from Mississippi State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. He is currently employed with Sanderson Farms, Inc.
Wedding vows will be exchanged at 6 p.m. Saturday, June 7, 2008, at Hebron Baptist Church in Hebron. Friends and family are invited to attend.
