There are plenty of questions swirling around the Laurel City Council these days.
Who is to blame for the current pickle the Laurel City Council finds themselves in? Were any laws broken? More importantly, how do they get out of it? And should the citizens of the city be refunded the extra taxes they paid?
Those are all legitimate questions that will eventually be answered. But before any solutions can be found to these questions, there’s a much bigger question that must be answered: Can this Council get along together to solve this — and other problems — facing the city?
It seems like every week before the meeting can even get underway, there are disagreements among some council members. There’s nothing wrong with debate or disagreement about the issues facing our city — not about one another.
