Published September 05, 2008 10:22 am - JCJC students intern with Sanderson Farms By Kelly Atwood, JCJC Public Relations Tim Ishee, JCJC Agriculture Sciences instructor, and Ed Smith, Vice President of Student Affairs, recently attended the end of the year program for interns with Sanderson Farms.
The JCJC students were selected for the program earlier in the year, beginning with an interview process. The students that were selected gained valuable experience and insight working within the different areas of Sanderson Farms. These areas included production, processing, the feed mill and transportation. After the students completed their 10-week internship, Sanderson Farms hosted a meeting where each of the students gave a presentation concerning what they learned that summer.
