Laurel artist Lisa Thames recently conducted a floral design workshop at the home of Carol McLeod in the Historic District for members of Park Place Garden Club. The acclaimed artist suggested the use of non-traditional containers to give arrangements a unique flair and to collect elegant shrubbery from the landscape to economize. She also recommended the addition of beautiful clippings from patio container plants as well as colorful fruit from the market for more texture and interest. Park Place m embers also recently enjoyed another floral design workshop at St. John’s Episcopal Church with Pat Bailey hosting the event.
