The Southern Mississippi Youth Orchestra will hold a performance Monday, May 12 at 7 p.m. in the Mannoni Performing Arts Center on the campus of the University of Southern Mississippi. Several local musicians will be performing including Dustin Collins of Bay Springs, Benjamin Holifield and Zachary Rodgers, both of Sharon, Ashley Walters of Shady Grove and Dexter Glisson of Laurel. The youth orchestra is conducted by Jorge Ivan Gonzalez. The event will also feature guitarist Carlos Castilla as a guest artist.
